National Theatre 

Opera, ballet and drama performances

The National Theatre is the Czech Republic’s representative stage. It is one of the symbols of Czech national identity and a part of the European cultural arena. It is a bearer of national cultural heritage and at the same time an arena for free artistic creativity. The theatre is a living artistic organisation which understands tradition as imposing a task and duty to find constantly new interpretations and endeavours to achieve the highest artistic quality.

State Opera

Opera and ballet performances

The State Opera (formerly the State Opera Prague, between 1948 and 1992 the Smetana Theatre, and originally the New German Theatre) has been a part of the National Theatre since 2012. The Opera and Ballet ensembles give repertory performances at the State Opera.

St. Nicolas Church

St. Nicholas Church on the Old Town Square in Prague is famous for its unique acoustics, where every visitor enjoys the charm of a Baroque church with pleasant listening to classical music concerts, which have become a longlasting and popular tradition. Spanish Synagogue

The Spanish Synagogue was built in 1868 on the site of the oldest Prague Jewish house of prayer ("the Old Shul"). It was designed in a Moorish style by Vojtěch Ignátz Ullmann. The synagogue has a regular square plan with a large dome surmounting the central space. You can enjoy concerts here like - The best of Gershwin, Bolero and Jewish songs, The best Czech and World Music, Jewish Mystical Melodies etc.

Prague Estates Theatre

Mozartissimo employs Mozart’s sense of humour and presents a selection of his operas in a variegated arrangement for vocals, oboe, clarinet and bassoon. The Czech composer, Jaroslav Krenek, is convinced that the “wind” trio would be able to replace, equivalently, a full orchestra. The actors bring out the main characters in costumes characteristic of that time. Everybody would be able to experience the short link between the music and the humour in accordance with the smiles and the applause of the excited audience.
