The largest airport in the Czech Republic is Vaclav Havel Airport Prague. There are smaller airports in other cities, which are also open to international air transport.

Vaclav Havel Airport is 20 km from the town centre. The drive from the airport to the centre takes from 20 to 25 minutes or 55 minutes by public transport.

Arrivals and departures at the airport terminals

Terminal 1 - intercontinental flights, including flights from Great Britain, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Terminal 2 - flights departing from EU countries, the members of the Schengen area.
Terminal 3 - VIP flights and private flights, official state visits, charter flights.

How to get downtown?

Opposite the arrivals hall, taxis are available to take you to Prague downtown for a cost of between 600 and 900 CZK. Attention, taxis tend to overcharge tourists.

Bus n° 119, 100 and 179

From the airport,  3 buses the subway stations nearest to the airport. Before the ride your ticket must be purchased from automats placed at bus stops. Cash is required. The ticket price is 32 CZK - 90 minutes.

Airport Express bus

A special airport bus providing direct interconnection of air, rail and urban mass transit from 5:45 to 22:30. Interval is 30 minutes, travel time 33 minutes, fares: 60 CZK (Prague Airport-Main Station), 40 CZK (Prague Airport-Dejvicka).  Timetable
